History

A total of 19,122 Jeepsters were built from 1948-1950 with only 2,960 being sold in 1949. These were built as a Phaeton design crossover from the Willys utilitarian jeeps and trucks.

However, by today's standards, among other things, they were underpowered and geared to low for our current road speeds. The goal was to keep the Jeepster looking original but upgraded for being driven at today's highway speeds in comfort.

This one was upgraded by Paso Robles resident, Lem Tolliver with changes as noted in the specifications section.
