History
The 1954 thru 1957 Buick Century convertibles and hardtop models marked Buick's return to its' pre-war "factory hot rod" status. With 300 hp under the hood, these were truly 100 mph cruisers in spite of their 4,000+ lbs.
These Buicks had truly classic lines of the era although they came with a price tag of $3,600.00 which was substantially higher than most other convertibles at that time. This held sales down to a modest 4,085 sales for the year.
