History

Design started in 1944 as WW II was winding down. When the 1800 went into production, there was a steel shortage. The frame was created using steel tubing. The front fenders were made of steel but all other body panels were made from aluminum.

The wheelbase was 100 in and the width rather wide at 64 in. The car was advertised to seat 3 in the front although that is dubious at best.

The uniqueness of the design was the "dual windscreens" and what the British called "Dickey Seats" or as we would call them, Jump Seats.

With a top speed of 75 mph and possibly squeezing 3 in the front seat and 2 more in the Dickies, it was considered a 5 passenger sports car. (Reality, 2 small adults and 2 small children) This was the last British production car with Dickeys.
